What is a bulk barcode lookup?
A bulk barcode lookup is a batch version of a barcode search. Instead of typing one code at a time, you upload a file of codes and the service matches every row against a product database in a single job. The output is your list, enriched: each code paired with its product record and the other identifiers that belong to it.
How the bulk lookup works
Step 1. Prepare a CSV with one code per row. A header row helps but is not required, and extra columns like your prices survive the round trip.
Step 2. Upload the file. Mixed identifier types are detected row by row.
Step 3. The batch runs against the 1.6B+ product index, matching by identifier, not by name guessing.
Step 4. Download the enriched file: product name, brand, category, images, and the full identifier set per row, with unmatched rows flagged instead of silently dropped.

An honest word about match rates
No database matches 100 percent of a real-world list. Standard retail products with valid codes match at very high rates. Store brands, very new releases, and codes with typos miss. The output flags those rows so you can fix or research them, a visible miss beats a silent wrong match every time.

Preparing a file that matches well
Keep codes as text, not numbers. Spreadsheets love stripping the leading zeros that UPCs need.
One code per row, one column. Extra columns are fine and survive, merged cells are not.
Do not pre-clean mixed lists. UPCs, EANs, ISBNs, and ASINs are detected per row, splitting them by hand wastes your time.

Can I mix UPCs, EANs, and ASINs in one file?
Yes. The type of each code is detected per row, so a messy real-world list works as is. Books with ISBNs can ride along in the same file.
What happens to codes that do not match?
They come back flagged as not found or ambiguous rather than silently dropped, so you always know which rows need a human look.
Does my own data survive the process?
Yes. Your original columns, like cost prices and supplier notes, are preserved, and the product data is appended alongside them.
